Are there any benefits for first-time customers?
May I just show up to a class?
We advise that clients sign up for classes in advance. Some classes are more popular than others, so we would recommend signing up in advance for evening and weekend classes. If there are any changes to the class then we are able to contact you directly to be in communication. Please RSVP for early morning classes, feel free to sign up online or call to reserve your space in our other classes. Download the IOS or Android app to rsvp for classes without using a browser.
Is the juice bar apart of Move With Grace?
A big emphatic YES! Our juice bar is extension of the studio and also founded/owned by Grace. We are the first business of this kind in the outer-boroughs, where we educate clients and customers about the health benefits of our unusually wide selection of superfoods and remedies. In our juice bar you can purchase grab and go drinks, coconut water, freshly made juice, unique smoothie blends, coffee, lattes, herbal teas, açai and smoothie bowls, big tossed or shopped salads, remedies, Farmacy shots, Wheatgrass, hot breakfast and protein shakes. Read more about our story and try a post-class/juice package, after pilates green juice, post-yoga protein shake or stop by for a salad or breakfast on your way to run errands in the neighborhood! Delivery is available through phone, grubhub or seamless between 11am and 7pm.
What do I need to be prepared for classes?
There is no uniform for yoga or pilates, but we want you to be comfortable. Definitely wear comfortable clean clothing and undergarments. Clothing should be close enough to the skin for the instructor to be able to see your joints and alignment. You do not need special shoes or socks for yoga. Bring a sticky/grippy yoga mat for yoga and an extra thick yoga or exercise mat for pilates. We have mats available for purchase or rent at the studio when you check in. Out of respect for other students please leave strong scents and perfumes and put your phone on silence. Our classes are meant to be welcoming for everyone so keep an open mind and leave your judgement & stress behind! We also recommend honoring your body so you do movement that is safe for you. If you have injuries or questions about what you are doing, feel empowered to ask your instructor.
